What is the Gordon and Betty Moore (Moore) Foundation Fellowship in Nonprofit Law?
The Moore Foundation Fellowship in Nonprofit Law offers the opportunity for a recent law school graduate to spend a year with the Legal Team at the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation in Palo Alto, California. The Fellow will work with the team to provide solutions-oriented, high-quality, legal advice and counsel to the foundation’s board, leadership and programmatic and administrative teams, working on a wide range of matters, including: compliance with federal and state tax laws and regulations; complex and international grant making; general corporate and operations issues; business transactions; employment law, intellectual property, and real estate matters. The Fellow will be an integral part of the legal team, gaining experience in the practice of law within a grantmaking private foundation.
Who can be a Moore Foundation Fellow?
Each year, one Fellowship is awarded to a U.S. law school graduate. Fellows are selected for their scholarship, leadership, and commitment to practicing in the field of nonprofit law. Term and Salary
